One of the world’s largest shopping center and a symbol of Dubai pride “The Dubai Mall” was partly closed this Thursday after the giant aquarium containing thousands of fishes and different sea creatures was leaked according to the police and witnesses. The featured videos which was recorded on witness cell phone shows the water gushing out on the floor, the leak was due to a simple crack at the panel of joints of the aquarium.
According to the spokesman for Emaar Properties:
“A leakage was noticed at one of the panel joints of the Dubai Aquarium at The Dubai Mall and was immediately fixed by the aquarium’s maintenance team,”
Further more added by the spokesman that “the leakage did’nt impact the aquarium’s health and environment or safety of the aquatic animals.” Soon siz divers entered the tank and coordinated with the workers outside the glass, according to Reuters dozens of emergency vehicles were at standby outside the mall for any mis happen.
I guess this is just but normal. A small leak from an aquarium that contains thousands of gallons of water will surely burst at some point because of the pressure. Good thing about this is that the people in the mall are quick to respond and that they have the capabilities to easily resolve this issue.
