In past we have carried out many jailbreak for Apple products like iPhone and iPod Touch, but today we have bought a jailbreak for Sony’s product. This is a Sony Playstation PS3 jailbreak which can be easily carried out using a USB Modchip. Below there are couple of steps to follow for the jailbreak:
Before You Jailbreak !!
- Before starting make sure your have Playstation 3 with firmware 3.41 or later.
- You must have original disc of any PS3 game that you want to backup.
- You have to purchase PS Jailbreak USB Modchip from ChipSpain or OzModChip.
- You need to download Backup Manager file for PS3 and insert into any USB/HDD port.
You Are Ready to Jailbreak Now !!
Step 1: Make sure Blu-Ray disc tray is empty and properly shut down your console.
- For PS3 Fat : Turn off console from the power switch.
- For PS3 Slim : Before inserting the USB into port, eject the power cord from console.
Step 2: Now plug the USB ModChip into the console USB/HDD port and power ON console.
Step 3: Once the power reaches USB, you would see two LED light, one of the either (Red/Green) will light up.
If Green LED blinks up, it means you have successfully Jailbreak your PS.
If Red LED blinks up, it means if you made a mistake, repeat step 1 to 3 again and remember to press “Eject” button simultaneously with Power On button.
Once your Green light pop’s up, know you are ready to move further.
Step 4: Insert your USB/HDD flash drive which contains the Backup Manager File.
Step 5: From Game Menu, select “Install Package Files” and then select “manager.pkg”
Step 6: Once the backup manager file loads successfully, a new application will be displayed on your Game menu screen.
Step 7: Now execute the backup manager app which you have just installed.
Step 8: Insert the original game disc and press “O” where you will be asked to create a backup on internal HDD or some where else.
Step 9: You will see the backed up game laying under Game menu, Execute it, and now you won’t require to insert original disc.
Note: Whenever you run the game, make sure your console is ready inserted with PS Jailbreak USB ModChip.
