Through Google Voice user can make a free phone call to friends and family any where in the world from Gmail. Google announced the successful integration of voice services in Gmail on their official website which says :

“Given that most of us don’t spend all day in front of our computers, we thought, ‘wouldn’t it be nice if you could call people directly on their phones?’ Starting today, you can call any phone right from Gmail”.

The service is currently available in United States and Canada which is supposed to be soon available in other countries too later. You can make a free call to your friends over US and Canada for free from Google Voice. This service is a reply to the giant of VoIP service by Skype, you can even make cheapest international calls from price starting $0.02 per minute.
