One-third of the people who have downloaded iTunes 10 have joined Ping,“ said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services. “As many more people download iTunes 10 in the coming weeks, we expect the Ping community to continue growing.

Ping is basically designed to keep your friends in touch with each other as you can follow to your favorite artists share music, videos, and send messages among your friends. Well there was a bad news as Facebook have blocked Apple’s Ping API to interfere, in upcoming days an expected agreement is to be made on how Ping will be utilizing Facebook API’s.

In order to raise Ping successfully, Apple should think of integrating with Facebook and other social sites such as Twitter etc.
