If you have a computer or a laptop without any CD/DVD drive and suddenly your computer is effected from a severe virus attack which does not allows you to boot up your desktop then the only cure left is to create a reliable USB  based rescue disk. If you are interested to create a rescue disk in case of avoiding your precious data then here is a small and simple guide to create a bootable Bitdefender USB rescue disk.

With the help of Bitdefender, you can easily create a rescue USB disk and even can scan your local drive’s with Bitdefender antivirus scanner to remove unwanted quarantine viruses. You can also recover your files and update Bitdefender antivirus database signatures.

Requirements :

Before you begin download Bitdefender Rescue ISO.

Download UNetbootin, which allows you to create a live bootable usb drive. 

A USB flash drive of atleast 1GB capacity or above.

Enable the USB bootable option on your laptop/netbook/computer, either from your system BIOS or from desktop.

If you are unaware of enabling USB bootable disk or your system doest not support USB boot option, then visit How to add USB boot option support.

How to make Bitdefender Rescue Drive ?

Step 1: Install, and run Bitdefender Rescue ISO.

Step 2: Install and run UNetbootin and save it on your desktop.

Step 3: Launch UNetbootin from desktop and select Diskimage option and browse and locate the location of Bitdefender Rescue ISO file downloaded in Step 1.

Step 4: Insert USB disk drive, UNetbootin will automatically detect the USB drive, Select the appropriate usb drive where you wish to install Bitdefender.

Step 5: After selection of your usb drive hit OK button, Live USB creation will start its process, Once the process completes successfully you will be displayed a message “Installation Complete, Reboot”, now your Bitdefender Rescue USB is created.
