PTCL has just reveled its new 10 Mbps internet Broadband package on 10th October 2010. This is the addition to its pre-existing broadband packages. Well for such a great internet connection you surely have to may something big, PTCL is offering 10 Mbps connection to the customers at Rs.9,999/- per month where you can enjoy unlimited downloading. Lets see what PTCL is providing in current :
- 1 Mbps Broadband at Rs.1,199/-
- 4 Mbps Broadband at Rs.1,999/-
- 6 Mbps Broadband at Rs.4,999/-
- 8 Mbps Broadband at Rs.6,999/-
- 10 Mbps Broadband at Rs.9,999/- [New]
On the other hand, one of the PTCL’s competitors, WorldCall is providing 10 Mbps Cable Broadband service at Rs.8,000/- which is available to selected area’s in the city, whereas PTCL’s Broadband DSL coverage sweeps almost all over Pakistan.
Beside these high broadband packages, PTCL service remains a question mark when it comes to troubleshooting your internet connection. I personally faced a hard time getting a line man to repair my cable but after a real hard work i failed to to find so and quit PTCL broadband. No doubt the service is really excellent but if a problem occurs in line or some where you have to suffer a hard time. Major cities like Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore having FiberOptic cables which may support 10 Mbps data rate.
