Definitely it is one of the most popular movie according to its download popularity but there is a report claimed the top most movie spot as this news will not be a good news for film makers.

The report claims that according to Torrent Freak, Avatar has set up a record to be the most pirated distributed movie of 2010 giving a download of about 16,580,000 illegal downloads just from Bittorrent, this download counter is assumingly surprising as the credit goes to popularity of the movie.

It is also expected that there is a large number of downloads even on Blu-ray version as Torrent Freak also reports the Blu-ray version download giving total 200,000 illegal download in just 2 days.

The companies seems to be helpless in front of such illegal downloads they have to really think about to stop these pirated downloads by offering new movies online at lower cost, so that they can be launched in theaters as this may result in lower illegal downloads.
