Expected to launch in January 2011 is the very first LG Optimus 2X dual core Android based smartphone. The LG Optimus 2X ships with a 1GHz dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and 8GB of built-in memory which can be increased to 32GB with extra storage option from microSD card slot.
The LG Optimus 2X has a 4-inch WVGA display screen and features dual camera with 8 mega-pixel camera on rear and 1.3 mega-pixel in front, according to LG the camera is capable to record and playback full HD video in 1080p also features DLNA and HDMI mirroring and an additional gyrosensor and accelerometer.
The samrtphone comes with older version of Android OS i.e Android 2.2 aka Froyo. Well don’t worry LG will announce the Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread update in a short time. The battery for LG Optimus 2X is a 1500mAh and a microUSB port.
The guys over at Unwired View reported the price details for Optimus 2X as high as $730 without any contract plans. The LG Optimus 2X is available for a pre-order of $450 with contract plans or you can purchase the phone from online retailer for $730, well all these prices are yet to be confirmed by LG.
