Rumors against surface the web indicating the change of processors in Apple products. Most recently report by Semi Accurate, Apple plans to change the processor type in iMac and MacBook Pro category range and it is possible that ARM chips could take over the next line-up, and by 2013 we could have an ARM based iMac’s and MacBook Pro computers.
As reported heavy investments have been made by Apple in ARM chips, as the most recent A4 and A5 processors are based on ARM chip architecture. Well similar news was also heard a couple of months back, is this a rumor spreading?
At that point, Apple can move to ARM without worrying about obsoleting code with an ISA that is on the verge of changing, and no memory overhead worries either. Basically, it looks like the perfect time. Ironically, SemiAccurate’s moles tell us that the boys on infinite loop are planning to move laptops to ARM at about that time. Coincidence? Nope.
The news could be confirmed in upcoming months or any Apple event could unveil the actual inside story, lets have fingers crossed.

I’m way behind the times apparently, but what’s so fantastic about ARM Processors?
