Temple run by Imagi in short is highly, superbly and shockingly addictive for me. I am no gaming junkie but this is something that I have got hooked onto. It is basically a running game in which your explorer has to collect coins and avoid obstacles. But there is something about the situation that the game puts you in, the narrow lane and the demonic spirits chasing the character, added with the background music of drums beating that gets you into the competitive mode. The character actually steals an idol from the temple and then the spirits start to chase him outside the temple. Hence, would give it the title of Temple Run. The more distance that you cover, the faster the speed of your character gets and more difficult it becomes to protect the explorer from hitting into an obstacle.

The game has a built-in store from where you can buy different additional benefits that will boost your score in some way or the other. You have to achieve high scores, which will add certain amount of coins into your account to enable you to buy things. Apart from this there are objectives that need to be fulfilled. For each objective you fulfill, your score gets a higher multiplier which in turn gives you a higher score. Increasing the multiplier makes it easier to increase score every time that you play.

The game developers came up with newer variants of temple run to entice the audience. It now has Temple Run: Brave too. This one game has made the Imagi studio so popular that it is even more well-known than Zynga.

Some of the perks of Temple Run are that there are no multiple stages or a constant storyline that needs to be followed. You can just keep increasing your score to beat your friends. It does get quite repetitive after a while. But for a beginner it is usually something that is hard to let go of.

Other games on iOS that are like temple run are Subway Surfers, Aby Escape, Nosferatu, Mega Jump, Falling Fred, Canabalt, Jetpack Joy Ride and many more! All these games have one thing in common. They are full of never-ending fun!  I am trying to get my hands on the new iPhone 5 so that I can try all these games on it and see what the hype is all about.

The upcoming Monday is set as the WWDC 2012 event date which rumors the unveiling of new iOS 6. The next Apple’s mobile operating system is expected to be the next major release at the event. iOS 6 is expected to bring cool new features already present with latest build of OS X Mountain Lion.

Sources reports the 3 major digital stores namely iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore will have a re-designed interfaces with iOS 6.0.

According to sources familiar with Apple’s upcoming iOS 6 mobile software offering, the company’s three major digital stores will see design overhauls. The overhauls are said to be major and they focus on improved interactivity when making purchases in iTunes, the App Store, and the iBookstore. Social is a big piece of the store overhauls, and Facebook integration is being tested in the iTunes Store portion, at least.

 

9to5Mac trusted sources confirmed the news that iOS 6 will feature iCloud Tabs support, Mail VIPs and a handy Notification Center enhancement. While under notification center you would also find the new Do Not Disturb mode that will help fix at iMessage alert.

Sources say, that while the option is present directly in the Mountain Lion Notification Center, the Do Not Disturb toggle is stationed like the Airplane Mode button in settings.

The iCloud Tab is a new feature which allows automatic synchronization of open tabs across all your iOS devices and Macs, the option is accessible via iCloud Tabs button found behind bookmarks toolbar on iOS 6 device.

When the iCloud Tabs button is clicked on an iOS 6 device (or Mac), all the tabs opened on each device are simply shown in a synchronized list. From here, users can quickly pickup individual tabs that they were working on across their Apple devices.

Facebook is much serious about mobile’s and photos, previously we heard a cool $1 billion purchase of a popular photo sharing app called Instagram to Facebook. But what surprise came out today is, Facebook have build its own mobile photo-sharing app with same features found in Instagram.

Facebook Camera app for iOS devices is just another way to share photos directly to your Facebook account. Facebook Camera app for iPhone, iPod Touch lets you upload single or multiple photos while applying tags, locations and description to your photos. The app have same Instagram styled 14 filters as well as some basic editing tools which lets you add some good details to your snaps.

Currently Facebook Camera is available for English-speaking countries only, but soon it will open internationally over the next few weeks, as soon as Apple can populate the App Store with it.

The most likely part of the app is that Instagram won’t allow you to post multiple photos simultaneously, but thanks to Facebook developers who revamped the app and added a feature to share multiple photos at once.

Facebook Camera app is not available on other mobile platforms such as Android, Windows Phone and blackberry but it is stated as:

While we don’t comment on future products we are carefuly looking at what might make for a good Facebook photos experience across other platforms.”

Apple released the new iOS 5.1.1 update for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The update brings cure to a number of bug fixes and also bought up a number of serious vulnerabilities. The three major vulnerabilities were patched altogether, one affecting the Safari browser, and remaining two affecting the WebKit browser engine.

I have recently jailbreak my iPod Touch 4G to thretered iOS 5.1 and it went successful (a complete tutorial of the process will soon be published). After your device has been jailbroken, Installous is one of the essential Cydia apps which should be installed.

An Installous is an app which allows you to download cracked apps right on your idevices, an updated version of Installous 4.4.2 is now compatible with iOS 5/5.0.1/5.1.

New iTunes 10.6 Update

A news on iPad 3 confirms it presence and today we received some leaked insides of iPad 3 display screen from Macrumors confirming the iPad 3 retina display. After a long speculations and rumors it is said as iPad 3 will bring a 2048×1536 resolution display starting from 1024×768.

MacRumours had their hand’s on iPad 3 leaked display panel’s and states as no more evidence on physical screen size for iPad 3 as it is same as 9.7” in diagonal found on iPad 1 and iPad 2.

But a close microscopic view against iPad 2, after examining both screens they were able to confirm that iPad 3 screen resolution is twice much as compared to iPad 2.

Since we only had a raw iPad 3 display with no method to power it, taking high quality photos of the pixels was difficult. Still, even with the relatively poor lighting, you can easily make out the pixels on each display (made up of red, green and blue elements). We highlighted a cluster of 4 pixels (2×2) from the iPad 2 to compare it to the same area on the iPad 3. On the iPad 3, the same cluster was occupied by 16 pixels (4×4) — exactly twice the resolution in each direction.

Extrapolating out, the iPad 3 screen should carry a full resolution of 2048×1536, exactly twice the linear resolution of the iPad 1 and iPad 2 which is 1024×768. Such a screen should be able to display much sharper images as compared to the previous generation iPads.
