Microsoft recently announced the availability of Windows 8 for its customers in Pakistan and around the world. Now consumers and businesses worldwide will be able to experience all that Windows 8 has to offer: a beautiful new UI, a wide range of apps with the grand opening of the Windows Store, available on more than 1,000 Windows 8 certified PCs and tablets.

Windows 8 will be available for download to upgrade existing PCs in over 140 markets and 37 languages at windows 8 offer and at retail locations around the world including Pakistan. Over 250,000 PCs are available at more than 1,000 retail stores, including Hyperstar, Metro, E4U, Makro and Compsi.

Windows 8 will be available in two versions at retail, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro. And for our business customers, Windows 8 Enterprise offers new possibilities in mobile productivity with features like Windows to Go, Direct Access, and Branch Cache, as well as enhanced end-to-end security with features including Bit Locker and App Locker. Launching at the same time is a new member of the Windows family designed for ARM-based tablets, Windows RT, which will be available pre-installed on new devices. Windows 8 features the new fast and fluid Start screen that gives people one-click access to the apps and content they care most about, the entirely new Internet Explorer 10 that is perfect for touch, and built-in cloud capabilities with SkyDrive.

In addition to the range of new devices available, consumers can also upgrade their existing PCs for $15 (U.S.). Through the end of January, consumers currently running PCs with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, are qualified to download Windows 8 Pro for an estimated retail price of $39.99 (U.S.). And eligible Windows 7 PCs purchased between June 2, 2012, and January 31, 2013 in more than 140 countries can download Windows 8 Pro for an estimated retail price of $14.99 (U.S.) with the Windows Upgrade Offer, available at windows upgrade offer.

Smart phones have been the economy’s one great hope during the last few years of stagnation. In the course of a few short years, these phones helped to trigger a revolution in technology, with app creation quickly becoming a trendy and profitable business.

Unfortunately for smart phone fans, it looks like the phenomenon might be drawing to a close. Recent reports suggest that smart phone innovation is beginning to slow down, according to Information Week. The implications of such a development could be staggering, especially given the current fragile nature of the economy. The good news is innovation isn’t slow for all phone companies; some are growing stagnant at a faster pace than others.

The decreasing innovation of smart phones could negatively impact other businesses associated with the industry. Cell phone accessories — such as cases, screen protectors, headphones, memory cards etc. — could see sales dip with the decline of the smart phone. However, that doesn’t mean the accessory companies will stop making or selling cool complementary products.

iPhone 5

Now that Apple is firmly in the post-Steve Jobs era, customers can expect a slowing down of innovation. While current head honcho, Tim Cook, adamantly denies that his company is starting to go stagnant, the latest model of the iPhone suggests otherwise. New features will include a larger touch screen and a speed-up in LTE networking. These are certainly nice improvements, but they aren’t exactly groundbreaking. Remember how amazed everyone the touch screen was unveiled, along with a multitude of new apps? That sense of wonder didn’t accompany the unveiling of the the iPhone 5.

Lumia 920

Perhaps even less impressive than the upcoming iPhone is the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows phone. The big boast surrounding this flagship smart phone? You can use the touch screen while wearing gloves. While cold-weather tech junkies may applaud this development, it’s still a bit disappointing that they cannot expect more from Microsoft’s newest model.

The app arena has also slowed down for Microsoft, with the only big release being City Lens, a new augmented-reality app that is already proving popular with hardcore gamers. Virtual reality is considered the new frontier of smart phone technology, but the developments in this area have been underwhelming thus far.

Droid Razr

Google is trying to impress with a new line of Razrs — the Razr M, the Razr HD and the Razr Maxx HD. Again, there’s not too much to get excited with these new phones, unless you are truly obsessed with lengthening your phone’s battery life. For those of you anxious for an Android update, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the new Android Jelly Bean 4.1, because it’s not featured on any of the new Razrs. Until then, you’ll have to be satisfied with a shopping spree for cell phone accessories. If nothing else, your new Droid Razr should at least look cool!

The lack of innovation in the world of smart phones may be disappointing for those accustomed to the constant innovations that have dominated the tech world since the first iPhone was released. But, as some argue, the lightning-speed innovations couldn’t have lasted forever. And there is always the off-chance the current decline is simply the mobile industry hitting a plateau. Perhaps a new breakthrough will appear by the end of 2013. Otherwise, you’ll just have to adjust to a slower pace of innovation.

This is the basic thing to do when you are dealing with the wireless internet connection. Always check the reliability of your internet connection and make sure that your internet service provider is giving you the speed that you paid for.

Check the DNS settings

Now after checking the internet connection, another way to fix the issue is to change manually the DNS settings of your Apple HD TV. Usually, Apple TV will automatically detect DNS settings. However, in some cases, different DNS can be identified by the product especially when there is a multiple connection. You can try to put the DNS manually by going to Settings, General, Network, and Configure TCP/IP and then choose manually.

Check the hardware

Check your wifi router. Since most of the wifi routers should be identified first by Apple products, it is very helpful to keep those drivers. In the other hand, most routers won’t connect to some products that they do not recognize. So the thing is to completely configure both the Apple HD TV and your wifi router so that they will be synchronized.

Mirroring

Another best feature about Apple products is it allows mirroring of movies from different apple products like iPhone and iPad. These products have a light internet hardware that is capable to handle wireless internet connection. If you can play movies without any issues like buffering in your iPhone and iPad, then you can probably use it to mirror it in your Apple HD TV.

Check Your Time Zone

Now, this is a little weird because Apple TVs are very sensitive to time zones. This is because they must have a good timing on the available shows on TV. Usually, it has automatic clock set up which really depends on the nearest internet connection source you got. Check the correct time zone in your area by going to settings. In there, you can select your place to where it will be automatically set the time. However, if there are still discrepancies with the time, you may check the third party applications.

Even before it has officially been launched, the tablet’s huge success is quite obviously, but it is difficult to figure out if that is because of the fantastic marketing Google has done, or the specs of the tablet itself.

It could be the specs, because Google’s Nexus 7 has been anticipated with a lot of impatience. It is after all a tablet that runs on Jelly Bean, the best Android to date with features like Google Now which “gets you the right information at the right time” including weather, traffic etc, and performance enhancer like Project Butter. The Jellybean in itself has been so anticipated that it could be the major reason behind the excitement of Google Nexus.

It kind of makes you wonder what the term “pre-order” really means. It can be upsetting if you’ve been one of pre order buyers to see someone else who hasn’t pre ordered already flashing around their Nexus, but worry not, soon yours should be with you too.

Here’s a quick recap about what your Nexus 7 will have, while you wait for it to reach you. You might remember it has a funny little quirk – that it does not get to landscape despite rotating it. We’re sure you considered this before you placing your order. Your Nexus is going to be super light when you finally lay hands on it – just about 340 grams or 12 ounces. The headphone jack is at the bottom not the top so you don’t have to worry about wires dangling over your screen, and the tablet has pretty decent battery time too.
